Andhra University, established in 1926, is one of India’s oldest and most prestigious institutions. Located in Visakhapatnam, it spans 425 acres and offers a scenic environment with Kailasa Hill in the background and the Bay of Bengal in the front. The university was founded by Sir C.R. Reddy, with Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan as its second Vice-Chancellor. Scholarships available at Andhra University

Andhra University offers a variety of scholarships and fellowships to support students across different academic levels and backgrounds. One of the prominent scholarship programs is Jagananna Vidya Deevena, which provides financial aid to students from economically backward communities (EBC), as well as minority groups including Christian and Muslim minorities. The scholarship has been distributed since 2017-2018, ensuring that students from these categories receive the necessary support for their education.

The university also offers numerous freeships, categorized into 14 different levels, to assist students who require financial assistance. These freeships help reduce the financial burden for students across various disciplines.
