IISER Tirupati

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati, established by the Government of India under the Ministry of Education, is the sixth institute in the prestigious chain of IISERs across the country. It aims to provide top-quality education and promote advanced research in basic sciences. IISER Tirupati began its academic journey in August 2015 at a temporary campus located at Sree Rama Engineering College, Rami Reddy Nagar, Karakambadi Road, Tirupati.

The institute is now developing its permanent campus at Srinivasapuram and Panguru village of Yerpedu Mandal, situated on the Yerpedu–Venkatagiri Road. Notably, IIT Tirupati is located just 3 kilometers away on the same road, creating a promising environment for collaboration between these two premier institutions.

Scholarships available at IISER Tirupati

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati offers various scholarships and financial assistance to support deserving and meritorious students pursuing their studies. Scholarships are provided through government schemes and institutional support to encourage academic excellence and ensure that financial constraints do not hinder quality education.

Students enrolled at IISER Tirupati can apply for scholarships available on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP), including INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) scholarships offered by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) for top-performing students. This scholarship provides financial assistance of Rs. 5,000 per month and a yearly contingency grant of Rs. 20,000 for five years.
Additionally, students from economically weaker sections (EWS), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and other minority groups can apply for scholarships under various central and state government schemes. The institute also encourages students to apply for private scholarships and grants offered by various organizations.

Apart from these, IISER Tirupati provides Teaching and Research Assistantships to selected postgraduate and doctoral students, allowing them to earn while they learn.
