Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV), established by the Government of India in September 2015, is a premier new-generation IIM. Ranked 26th among business schools across India in the National Institutional Ranking Framework 2024, it leads all new-generation IIMs founded in 2015/2016. Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) offers merit-based and need-based financial aid to ensure quality education is accessible to deserving students. A prestigious merit-based scholarship is awarded to the top two academically performing students from each of the four sections in the Post Graduate Programme (PGP). This scholarship includes a tuition fee waiver or reimbursement of up to INR 6 lakh per student for the second year, based on the highest and second-highest CGPA achieved by the end of Term-3 of the first year. Eligibility requires meeting all program requirements outlined in the PGP handbook.
Additionally, IIMV provides need-based financial aid to students with an annual household income below INR 5 lakh. The Financial Aid Committee follows a two-step process, involving application submission and personal interviews conducted by faculty panels to assess financial needs. Factors considered include educational qualifications, work experience, income, loans, savings, assets, and property ownership.
Around 2% of the batch receives a full fee waiver, while 6% receive a 25% fee waiver. Financial aid covers tuition, library access, internet usage, course materials, and career development activities.
