Sri Venkateswara Vedic University (SVVU), established in 2006 under the A.P. State Act No. 29, is a unique institution dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and dissemination of Vedic knowledge. Sponsored by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), SVVU is the first of its kind to focus exclusively on the study and advancement of Vedic wisdom.

The university offers a diverse range of specialized programs under seven faculties: Veda Adhyayana, Veda Agamadhyana, Veda Paurohityadhyanana, Veda Vedaangas, and Veda Bhashyadhyayana, comprising a total of 23 departments. Its curriculum encompasses various disciplines including Science, Nutrition, Jyotisha (Astrology), Religious Studies, Vedic Literature, Oriental Learning, and Arts.

SVVU aims to preserve ancient traditions while encouraging contemporary understanding and research in Vedic studies. Through its comprehensive academic programs, the university strives to contribute significantly to the enrichment of traditional knowledge systems and promote cultural heritage.

Scholarships available at Sri Venkateswara Vedic University

Sri Venkateswara Vedic University (SVVU) offers various scholarships to support and encourage deserving students across multiple categories. The scholarships are provided based on academic merit, sports achievements, defense personnel dependents, gender, and disability.

Merit-Based Scholarships:

  • Students securing 95% or above in the qualifying examination receive a 100% scholarship for the first year (excluding examination fees).

  • Those scoring between 85% and 94.99% are eligible for a 25% scholarship on the first-year course fee.

  • Students with marks between 75% and 84.99% receive a 15% scholarship on the first-year course fee.

  • Candidates scoring between 60% and 74.99% are granted a 10% scholarship on the first-year course fee.

Sports-Based Scholarships:

  • Students representing India at the international level receive a 100% scholarship throughout the course (excluding examination fees).

  • National-level representatives are eligible for a 25% annual scholarship.

  • State-level competitors receive a 15% annual scholarship.

  • Zonal-level prize winners are awarded a 10% annual scholarship.

Other Scholarships:

  • Dependents of defense personnel (son, daughter, wife, brother, sister) receive a 10% annual scholarship.

  • All female students are eligible for a 10% annual scholarship.

  • Differently-abled students with a disability of over 45% receive a 10% annual scholarship.

Eligibility for scholarships is verified by the admission committee based on valid documents and certificates.
