Vikrama Simhapuri University

Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU), Nellore, was established to fulfill the long-standing aspirations of the people of SPS Nellore District. The university was officially recognized by the Andhra Pradesh Legislature and published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette on September 24, 2008. Spread across 83.33 acres along National Highway No. 5, the university is located just 10 kilometers from Nellore town. It received recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) for its degrees under Section 22 of the UGC Act on January 20, 2010, and was later granted 2(f) and 12(b) status. Additionally, VSU is a full member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, placing it among 500 prestigious institutions worldwide.

The university provides a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Management through its affiliated colleges. Residential facilities include separate hostels for men and women, ensuring a comfortable environment for students. For transportation, the university operates two buses between Nellore and the campus.
