Apex Professional University

Apex Professional University (APU), a statutory institution established under Act 07 of 2013 by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, is recognized by the UGC under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. APU is part of the Apex Education Group and is inspired by the vision of Acharya Dhanwant Singh to revive the ancient Gurukul system, similar to Nalanda and Taxila, through a modern lens.

Located in an eco-friendly campus in Pasighat, APU is a research-focused university that integrates Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) with Contemporary Knowledge Systems (CKS). Its core mission is to rediscover valuable insights from ancient Indian literature and align them with the needs of today’s world.

APU has established Centres of Excellence in areas such as Cosmology, Neuro-architecture, Neuro-Marketing, Yoga, and Indian Medicine. It is the world’s first university dedicated to Indian Metaphysics, offering education in disciplines like Yoga, Ayurveda, Tibetan Tantra, Siddha Medicine, Vedic Cosmology, and Vedic Architecture.

With three specialized research centres, APU conducts interdisciplinary studies covering physiological, psychological, radiological, sportive, biochemical, and neurological aspects of Indian Metaphysics. At APU, students and faculty collaboratively explore new ideas, creating a vibrant environment for intellectual discovery and innovation.

Scholarships available at Apex Professional University

Apex Professional University (APU) values the exceptional talent of students from the North East and offers a variety of scholarships to support and encourage academic excellence. Eligible candidates can apply online for the Scholarship & Talent Reward Entrance Test (STaRT). Scholarship decisions are made on a case-by-case basis, and selected students will be informed accordingly.

In addition, APU facilitates access to the Post Matric Scholarship, a Centrally Sponsored Scheme implemented by State Governments and Union Territory Administrations. The Government of India provides full central assistance beyond the state’s committed share. This scholarship is awarded by the applicant's respective state or UT administration.

To further enhance practical learning, APU also offers a robust Internship Program. Designed to blend academic knowledge with real-world administrative experience, the program supports students in earning while they learn. Interns receive a monthly stipend ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹35,000, depending on the role and responsibilities. Participants are expected to balance their studies alongside the internship as per university guidelines.
