Scholarships available at Himalayan University

Himalayan University offers a range of fellowship opportunities and financial assistance to support deserving research aspirants and faculty members.

Institutional fellowships, ranging from ₹7,000 to ₹15,000, are provided to eligible candidates, preferably those who have qualified for the National Eligibility Test (NET). These fellowships are awarded based on merit and are subject to availability.

Candidates who have cleared esteemed national-level fellowships such as NET-JRF (UGC), UGC-CSIR joint test, DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF, ICAR-SRF, MANF-JRF, RGNF-JRF, and JNMF-JRF can avail financial assistance from various government funding agencies. The duration of these external fellowships is determined by the rules of the respective funding bodies.
Additionally, Ph.D. candidates working on externally funded research projects are eligible for financial assistance through project fellowships provided under the JRF/SRF salary head of the project.

Himalayan University also extends financial support to its faculty members pursuing Ph.D. degrees. Faculty members working within the university are eligible to receive a monthly stipend ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹15,000 along with a 25% concession in their academic Ph.D. fees.

It is important to note that candidates cannot receive financial assistance from more than one source simultaneously during their Ph.D. tenure. However, they are permitted to take up full-time or part-time employment after submitting their thesis or during temporary withdrawal from the Ph.D. program.
