Indira Gandhi Technological and Medical Sciences University (IGTAMSU) is a prestigious institution situated in Ziro, the headquarters of Lower Subansiri district in Arunachal Pradesh. Recognized as one of the leading universities in Northeast India, IGTAMSU is dedicated to providing quality education and shaping the future of its students.

Established under the Indira Gandhi Technological and Medical Sciences University Act, 2012, by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, the university specializes in offering world-class medical and technical education. With a strong emphasis on academic excellence, IGTAMSU has emerged as a hub for higher education in the region.

The foundation of IGTAMSU can be traced back to 2002 when Dr. Priya Ranjan Trivedi, a visionary institution builder and President of the World Institution Building Programme (WIBP), conceptualized the idea of establishing a university in Arunachal Pradesh. Encouraged by the then Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, this initiative aimed to cater to the higher education needs of students from the Northeast, particularly Arunachal Pradesh.

Today, IGTAMSU continues its commitment to academic innovation and professional excellence, equipping students with the knowledge and skills required to excel in their respective fields.

Scholarships available at Indira Gandhi Technological and Medical Sciences University (IGTAMSU)

Students of the university are eligible to apply for stipends, scholarships, and sponsorships provided by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh and the Government of India. However, a student can only avail of one financial aid option at a time. Those applying for these benefits must directly approach the respective issuing authority, as the university does not handle inquiries regarding stipend or scholarship grants. Students are solely responsible for submitting the required forms and documents within the stipulated time frame. Eligible students can receive financial assistance either from the Government of India or the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, but not both simultaneously.

Issuance of Bonafide Student Certificates
The university issues bonafide student certificates to registered students as per the following schedule:

1. For Continuing Students: Students can apply to the Assistant Registrar for a bonafide certificate between July 12–14 and August 29–31.
   
   
2. For New Admissions: Newly admitted students can apply for a bonafide certificate from August 29–31. Submission of the original migration certificate from their previous board or university is mandatory for issuance.

Students must adhere to the specified timelines and requirements to ensure a smooth process for obtaining their bonafide student certificate.
