North East Frontier Technical University (NEFTU)

North East Frontier Technical University (NEFTU) is a premier institution located in Aalo, the administrative headquarters of West Siang district in Arunachal Pradesh. Nestled in the scenic hills, NEFTU aims to provide high-quality education and research opportunities aligned with national and international academic standards. Established under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, the university was founded through Act 11 of 2014 by the Arunachal Pradesh State Legislature, making it the first private technical university in the state.

Sponsored by the Automobile Society of India, a registered charitable trust, NEFTU offers a range of programs in disciplines such as Engineering, Law, Pharmacy, Arts, and Education. It has received approvals from regulatory bodies like AICTE, BCI, PCI, NCTE, and also conducts agricultural research under ICAR. The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh serves as the university's visitor.

North East Frontier Technical University (NEFTU) provides extensive scholarship and financial support to deserving students through a dedicated Scholarship and Stipend Assistance Cell. This cell, supported by a committee of faculty members, ensures that eligible students receive scholarships based on merit, financial need, or exceptional achievements in academics, sports, and the arts.

Scholarship Eligibility and Policies
NEFTU offers scholarships based on academic performance in qualifying examinations, entrance tests, and extracurricular excellence. Private external students enrolling in select courses under NEFTU regulations are also eligible for financial aid.

Scholarship Benefits

• 100% tuition fee waiver for students securing the top rank in their board or university.
  
  
• 50% tuition fee waiver for students ranking up to 4000 in IIT/JEE, 100 in AIEEE, or 100 in APJEE.
  
  
• 30% tuition fee waiver for students from economically weaker sections.
  
  
• 25% tuition fee waiver for students with 93%+ aggregate in Class 12 (PCM) or 80%+ in graduation.
  
  
• 20% tuition fee waiver for students ranking up to 5000 in AIEEE or scoring well in CAT (70+ percentile) or MAT (700+ marks).
  
  
• 15% tuition fee waiver for female students.
  
  
• 50% tuition fee waiver for students winning gold/silver at national or state-level sports or excelling in performing arts.

Merit-Based Scholarships
