Assam Science and Technology University

The Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) was established by the Government of Assam under the Assam Science & Technology University Act, 2009. It is dedicated to advancing education and research in science, technology, and professional fields. As the only technical university in the North Eastern Region, ASTU oversees the academic regulation of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, and select disciplines in science and management. Additionally, it offers an in-house postgraduate program in Energy Engineering. The university is committed to high-quality education, continuously updating curricula and fostering international-standard research while integrating traditional knowledge with modern technology.

Central Research Hub (CRH)

ASTU made a significant impact in a short period by establishing the Central Research Hub (CRH), a unique facility in Indian universities and the first of its kind in Northeast India. Initiated in 2018 under TEQIP-III (MHRD), CRH provides state-of-the-art research infrastructure, fostering innovation and collaboration. It aims to engage top researchers from India and abroad, promoting interdisciplinary research and knowledge exchange.

Scholarships available at Assam Science and Technology University
