Utkal University of Culture

The Utkal University of Culture (UUC) was established under the Utkal University of Culture Act, 1999, and is a state university located in Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha. The university is dedicated to research, teaching, and education in the field of culture, aiming to equip students with the knowledge to preserve Indian heritage and ethics.

UUC has approximately 40 affiliated colleges, both permanent and temporary, that provide high-quality education in cultural studies, emphasizing the significance of this field in the Indian context. The university operates from two campuses. Its permanent campus, situated in Madanpur, spans 45 acres of land allotted by the Odisha government. Madanpur serves as an academic hub, housing various technical and general colleges. This campus is located around 20 kilometers from the university's original campus.

The old campus, located at Sardar Patel Hall Complex, Unit II, Bhubaneswar, continues to function as the university's city center. With its strong commitment to cultural education and preservation, Utkal University of Culture plays a vital role in promoting India's rich artistic and traditional heritage through academic programs and research initiatives.

These include the Post-Matric Scholarship for Minority Students, aimed at providing financial assistance to students from minority communities, and the Post-Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities, which supports students with special needs in pursuing higher education.

Furthermore, students can apply for the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship, which offers financial support to deserving candidates based on academic excellence. The university also provides a Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST Students, ensuring inclusivity in higher education.
