NIPER Kolkata

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Kolkata, is one of the seven NIPERs established by the Government of India under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.

Founded in 2007 and located in the campus of the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, NIPER Kolkata is a center of excellence in pharmaceutical sciences and advanced research. It offers postgraduate (M.S. Pharm) and doctoral (Ph.D.) programs in fields such as Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, and Regulatory Toxicology. Scholarships available at NIPER Kolkata

NIPER Kolkata offers various scholarships and financial support to encourage meritorious students and promote inclusive education in pharmaceutical sciences. M.S. (Pharm) students admitted through the NIPER JEE are eligible for GPAT fellowships, which include a monthly stipend of ₹12,400, provided they have valid GPAT scores. Ph.D. candidates are supported through Institute Research Fellowships or national schemes such as CSIR-UGC NET, DST-INSPIRE, and ICMR fellowships, with monthly stipends ranging from ₹31,000 to ₹35,000.

Additionally, students can apply for SC/ST/OBC and minority scholarships offered by central and state governments via the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). The institute also facilitates contingency grants and travel allowances for research presentations at conferences.
